Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy applies to the mobile apps in the SkyCop ecosystem: SkyHelp (emergency and incident reporting) and Skycop Team (dashboard for guards, supervisors and drone operators). Both are operated by Dronescan("we"). If you have questions about this policy, write to us at no-responder@dronescan.cl.
1. What data we collect
In both apps
- GPS location — while you report an emergency or while a guard shares their location during an active event. It is not collected in the background outside those contexts.
- Photos, videos and audio that you attach to a report or chat message.
- Chat messages between reporters, guards and the operations center.
- Device identifier and name, so a report can be linked to a device.
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), to notify you of updates on an event.
SkyHelp only
- Reporter's name (optional; you type it when reporting — you can leave it blank or use a nickname).
- SkyHelp lets you report without creating an account. Report data is linked to the device, not to a verified identity.
Skycop Team only
- Email and password (the account you sign in with).
- Name and role within the organization (guard, supervisor, drone operator, administrator).
- Media captured by drones during flight missions, linked to the event.
2. What we use this data for
- Coordinating the response to reported incidents (dispatching guards/drones, tracking the status of the event).
- Showing the operations center and guards the location and evidence of an ongoing event.
- Sending you notifications about relevant events.
- Keeping an event history for security and audit purposes.
We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
3. Who we share it with
- With the organization (company, residential community, municipality, etc.) that hired Skycop and whose security system you are reporting to or belong to as a guard.
- With that organization's staff who run the monitoring center (guards, supervisors).
- We do not share this data with third parties outside the organization, except where legally required (e.g. a request from a competent authority).
4. Where it is stored and security
Data is stored on servers managed by Dronescan, with access restricted by account and organization. Communications between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS/WSS).
5. How long we keep the data
We keep an event's data for as long as it is operationally relevant to the organization (security history) and while the account or report is active. You can request deletion of your data as described in section 6.
6. Your rights
Under Law No. 19,628 on the Protection of Private Life (Chile), you can ask us to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (unless the organization must keep it due to a legal or security obligation).
To exercise these rights, write to us at no-responder@dronescan.cl.
7. Minors
These apps are not directed at children. SkyHelp may receive reports from anyone in a real emergency, but we do not intentionally request or store data from minors beyond what is strictly necessary to handle the report.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our data practices change. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
